A SWISS INITIATIVE FOR POETIC LIFE

Shipping, Packaging & Insurance (Musarthis Art Gallery)
Musarthis Art Gallery values clarity, dignity and respect in all its collaborations. For this reason, the practical framework relating to shipping, packaging and insurance is shared transparently. This ensures that artists, collectors and partners always know where they stand, and that the relationship with the gallery remains grounded in trust, responsibility and elegance.

Transport for Physical Exhibitions
For physical exhibitions, artists remain responsible for organising and covering the costs of packaging, shipping and transport insurance for their works to and from the gallery, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Works must be securely and professionally packed to ensure safe transport and handling. If a work is not sold during the exhibition, the artist is also responsible for arranging and covering the return shipping.
Upon receipt at the gallery, works are handled with due care. Any visible damage on arrival will be documented and notified to the artist or shipping party as soon as reasonably possible.
The gallery does not provide long-term storage services. Works may only remain on the premises for the duration of the exhibition or agreed collaboration period, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If an unsold work is not collected or shipping has not been arranged within a reasonable time frame after the end of the exhibition, storage fees may apply, or the gallery reserves the right to return the work at the artist’s expense.
Shipping After Sale
Once a work is sold, all shipping costs, packaging fees, transport insurance, customs duties, taxes and any related charges are borne by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed in writing. The buyer is responsible for arranging suitable transport insurance during shipment.
Works remain the property of the artist until full payment of the sale price has been received by the gallery.
Musarthis Art Gallery may, when appropriate, assist the artist or the buyer in coordinating transport through trusted shipping partners. However, the gallery does not assume financial or legal responsibility for shipping or insurance unless expressly agreed in advance and in writing.
Liability & Insurance
The gallery cannot be held liable for any loss, delay or damage occurring during transport to or from the gallery, or from the gallery to the buyer. Responsibility remains with the shipping party and/or the carrier until the work has been safely delivered to its final destination.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, the gallery does not provide insurance coverage for artworks. Artists and buyers remain responsible for arranging appropriate insurance for their works at all times, including transit and exhibition periods.
The gallery reserves the right to remove a work from exhibition if required for legal, safety or ethical reasons.
Condition & Packaging
Artists and buyers must ensure that works are securely packaged to professional standards suitable for fine art transport. The gallery reserves the right to refuse receipt of works that arrive in unsafe or inadequate packaging.
These provisions are applied in accordance with applicable Swiss and international law.
