Musarthis Art Gallery cultivates a respectful and transparent collaboration with artists. The gallery positions itself as a curatorial and cultural partner, supporting artistic practice and the visibility of the work. The principles below set out, with clarity and calm, how copyright, the use of images and video, commissions and sales are handled within the gallery’s ecosystem.

Copyright & Artist Rights

Musarthis Art Gallery values artistic integrity and authorship.
Copyright and all intellectual property rights always remain with the artist.

Submitting a portfolio, being selected, exhibited or represented by the gallery does not transfer any copyright, reproduction rights, licensing rights or ownership to Musarthis Art Gallery.

The gallery does not claim any author’s rights or ownership over the artworks or the visual or audiovisual material provided.

Moral rights — including attribution and respect for the work — remain fully recognised at all times.

Use of Images and Video Content

As part of the collaboration with Musarthis Art Gallery, the artist grants the gallery a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the images and video material transmitted by the artist strictly for communication purposes relating to the gallery.

This licence is limited to:

the gallery’s website
social media managed by the gallery
digital or printed catalogues of the gallery
press communication initiated or coordinated by the gallery
exhibition-related announcements and documentation
institutional and curatorial communication about the gallery’s activities

This licence:

is granted for the duration of the collaboration and continues thereafter, to preserve the gallery’s communication history and archives
does not transfer copyright
does not allow any commercial reproduction or commercial exploitation
does not authorise any use unrelated to the gallery’s communication activities
always respects attribution and moral rights

No other use is permitted.
Any additional form of reproduction, distribution or licensing must be the subject of a separate written agreement.

Sales, Pricing & Commissions

Musarthis Art Gallery works with fairness and clarity.

When an artwork is sold through the gallery, the gallery receives a commission of 15 % of the final sale price.

This commission contributes to:

curatorial research and artistic support
communication and visibility
administration and coordination
exhibition organisation where applicable

The remaining 85 % is paid to the artist.

Prices are discussed and validated together prior to presentation or sale.

Payments

Payment to the artist is processed once the gallery has received the full amount due from the collector or institution.
Clear documentation accompanies every sale.

No Automatic Exclusivity

Collaboration with Musarthis Art Gallery does not automatically imply exclusivity.
Any exclusivity arrangement must be formally agreed in writing by both parties.

Legal agreements are used whenever necessary to ensure serenity for all parties.
